Just a brief note about using templates and our total transparency philosophy. We use WordPress for all of our blogs and are pleased to be using the Thesis theme by Chris Pearson.
WordPress is the most complete and well-known blog format on the web. It is open-source, rock solid, and extremely user-friendly. WordPress also functions as an amazing content management system.
The Thesis theme by Chris Pearson was designed for people who care about typography and the quality of the content on your pages. We are very much simpatico with Mr. Pearson. Good web design should start with solid code both internally and externally. Solid code on the inside refers to using CSS and the latest rules from the W3C. External code refers to the content on your pages. This includes grammar, structure, keywords, and of course, typography.
A really nice looking site with cool looking Flash and Javascript can be totally destroyed by poor content. Most web designers are not writers. Most writers are not web designers. This is our niche. Linda, Mary Ellen, and I are all excellent writers. We have professional experience with it, and we are all obsessed with providing only quality content for our customers. This is what Google and the other search engines have been trying to force for years. Page rank is really based on the quality of your content, not the design. We know this and we agree.
The bottom line. We use WordPress. It rocks. We use the Thesis theme designed by Chris Pearson. Both the theme and Mr. Pearson rock. We are about quality web content. Enough said.
Peace,
John
